Children will see “Tale of the Perm Land” during the “White nights” festival
Perm State Art gallery will present an interactive exhibition for kids on the history of Perm krai and the famous collection of Perm wooden sculpture during the “White nights-2013” festival, as stated by the city department of culture and youth policy.
The exhibition is based on a famous Moscow illustrator Zina Surova’s book “Tale of the Perm Land”, which will be presented on June 1.
The exhibition is built as a game space, where kids will not only be able to see illustrations from the book, but also play and create their own stories about the Land. The exhibition is centered around “The Perm Land” interactive object, covered with felt and carpet. The object is surrounded by containers filled with people and animal figurines, pictures of cathedrals, angels, wooden sculptures and Perm animal style, so that children can populate and decorate the Land, creating their own story. Kids will also be able to create their own characters during the master class.
The author of the project, Zina Surova, is an illustrator and designer, engaged in painting, interior design and painted sculpture. Zina is a member of Moscow Union of Painters, “Magic Saw” illustrators association, and is an acting lecturer of the Higher School of Graphic Design. She actively participates in exhibition projects and book fairs, gives master classes for kids and adults.
The exhibition will take place at the children’s pavilion of the festival site on the city esplanade June 1 through 23.
